Since 2010, I work in the department of surgical oncology, at Hospital Lyon Sud, Hospices Civils de Lyon. It is one of the largest hospital in France, and our department has a main focus on “complex” surgical oncology, and peritoneal malignancies. I was trained to cytoreductive surgery and liver surgery. During my training, I had the opportunity to spend 6 months at Tulane University, in Louisiana to train in transplant, and 1 years of research fellowship at MD Anderson with Pr Jean Nicolas Vauthey. In my department, I am currently in charge of liver surgery. As we are working in a public university hospital, “complex” patients are referred, and more patients were referred for complex abdominal wall hernias. Since 2021, I am also in charge of complex abdominal wall reconstruction, and involve in education with the French Hernia Society and European Hernia Society.
