How do I travel to Ghent?

By public transportation

The main railway station of Ghent is "Gent-Sint-Pieters Station". There are frequent direct train connections between Ghent and Brussels Airport. To go to Brussels South Charleroi Airport or Lille Lesquin, train transfers are required. All info on the train schedules can be found here. Eurostar and Thalys connect Brussels Midi and Lille Lesquin with Amsterdam, Cologne, Paris and London.

By (rental) car or taxi:

Ghent is only a 1 hour car drive away from 3 convenient airports: Brussels Airport, Brussels South Charleroi Airport and Lille Lesquin. Bear in mind that Ghent city center is a low-emission zone. Check whether your vehicle is allowed to enter the low-emission zone here.
